Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. SoCal Spooky doesn't set advertising cookies. Here's what can show up.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and links are used, so we can improve the directory. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) that last up to two years and don’t identify you by name. See how Google uses cookies, or opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. You can also use the Turn off analytics button at the bottom of any page: analytics stops, its _ga cookies are cleared, and your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so it sticks. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics doesn’t load and no _ga cookies are set.
Security cookies
Cloudflare, which delivers our site, may set a cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots. It doesn't identify you personally and is needed for the site to work safely.
Maps
Our maps are embedded from Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
Other sites
When you click through to a host's website, ticket page or social media, that site may set its own cookies. Those belong to them, not us.
Your choices
Turn analytics off with the button at the bottom of any page, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The directory still works either way; if you block all cookies, the maps may not load.
