Scare Mazes in Southern California

Jon Braver’s interactive horror play returns to the historic Beckett Mansion in West Adams, where Delusion began in 2011. Den of the Mosquito is a 50-minute, 18+ story set in a 1920s New Orleans brothel — guests play agents of a secret organization with split paths and very limited tickets.

A one-mile scare trail across the grounds of the former Marshal Scotty’s Playland, combining old rides, carnival remains, themed scenes and live scare actors.

A large-scale outdoor horror trail through Balboa Park, paired with the eXperiment Maze. The experience winds through twisted pines and dark wooded paths. It’s outdoors and stays open through light rain when it can. Weather closures are posted on its Instagram (@hauntedtrailbp), and unused tickets for a closed night can be rescheduled; no refunds.
