What to expect
The Long Beach waterfront’s annual Zombie Walk and Halloween party: a kids’ craft booth from 6pm, face painting, candy tossed from the balcony, roaming scarers, a best-zombie costume contest at 7pm, the Zombie Walk at 8pm and a live band until 10pm. Free, no tickets; come in zombie makeup. It’s meant to be scary, so the host asks guests not to bring infants or easily scared dogs. Paid parking is limited, so carpool or ride share.
