What to expect
Pacific Opera Project brings back Sondheim’s bloody masterpiece for the first time in 14 years, just in time for Halloween, at North Hollywood’s intimate El Portal Theatre. About three hours with one intermission. Opening weekend (Oct. 30–Nov. 1) has a costume contest at intermission. The host warns of stylized extreme violence.
